Party With a Purpose Summer-Style

Summer officially began on Sunday. Yes, it still feels like April, but I’m optimistic that by the time July 9 rolls around, and the NAYP hosts its Party With a Purpose at the Paradise City Tavern, we’ll be glad to have the air-conditioning blasting as we work it out on the dance floor. This will not be your ordinary PWAP. We’ve invited the Springfield Young Professional Society to join us for the evening – I’m picturing some kind of Beat Street dance off, young professional style… so bring your best moves and be ready to shake what your momma gave you at Northampton’s newest hot spot. Paradise City will provide the DJ and the food, you buy your drinks, and maybe one for your new friend from Springfield! Even if you aren’t willing to unleash your inner Beyonce on the dance floor, it’s a great chance to network with a whole new network! Parking is available in the lot beside the restaurant. Oh, and I’m challenging Ned Leutz to memorize the moves to “Single Ladies.” If Justin can do it, I have no doubt that Ned can master that finger wag/hip dip move. See you on the floor.

By August, summer will be in full swing and our Party With a Purpose will be a family affair! Grab your spouse, significant other, kids, and dogs (keep Fido on a leash please) and come celebrate summer with the NAYP at one of Northampton’s gems, Look Park! Feast on summer cook out classics like hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, potato salad and coleslaw and unleash your inner 5th grader (or your actual 5th grader) on the field with games like beach volleyball, bocce, frisbee and more! It’s a good old fashioned Field Day – a chance to hang out and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with your friends and family… and maybe kick some butt on the kickball field.
